British Columbia Aboriginal Land Managers Association (BCALMA) is pleased to announce partnerships with Quinseenum Lands and Sayaqtes, two Indigenous-led organizations whose expertise and values align with our commitment to enhancing First Nations professional development and technical capacity in land management across British Columbia.
By working alongside Quinseenum Lands and Sayaqtes, BCALMA is deepening its commitment to support First Nations Land Managers with resources, training, and connections that build long-term capacity in lands governance across the province.
Quinseenum Lands Inc. brings a wealth of experience in community engagement and capacity development. Their work will focus on:
- Building partnerships and engaging members and First Nations
- Providing tailored resources based on current levels of land management
- Assisting in the development of First Nation-specific capacity development plans
Sayaqtes Consulting will support BCALMA through strategic coordination and communications, including:
- Facilitating partnerships and collaborations
- Coordinating events that bring together land management staff, knowledge holders, and technical experts
- Offering project management and communications expertise to strengthen engagement across the province
Together, these partnerships enhance BCALMA’s commitment to advancing land governance, capacity development, and stewardship – ensuring that knowledge, expertise, and opportunities are carried forward for generations to come.

Quinseenum Lands Inc.
Quinseenum Lands Inc. is a family-owned business with over 40 years of combined experience in First Nation lands governance. With expertise across Indian Act and Land Code systems, they provide practical, community-focused support in areas such as land office setup, RLEMP implementation, Land Code implementation, leasing, wills and estates, housing strategies, property taxation, economic development, and financial management. Quinseenum also delivers Electoral Officer services, training, and mentorship to build long-term community capacity.
Sayaqtes
Sayaqtes is a multidisciplinary team of professionals with expertise in land management, governance, economic development, environmental stewardship, justice reform, policy, project management, and marketing. Drawing on diverse backgrounds in academia, leadership, business development, and community enterprise, Sayaqtes works alongside Nations to strengthen partnerships, coordinate projects and events, and advance sustainable, culturally grounded futures rooted in Indigenous self-determination.
