Registration is now open for the Tools for Prosperity Workshop, taking place November 18–20, 2025, hosted in Chiyaqtel (Tzeachten) in Chilliwack, BC This three-day training will bring together experts and community leaders to explore practical tools that strengthen First Nations’ land and economic development capacity, helping participants build knowledge to support informed decision-making, sustainable growth, and fiscal independence.
Topics will include:
- Land Assessments: how land values are determined and how assessments impact land management and financial planning.
- Legal Land Surveys: understanding survey processes, boundaries, and how accurate land data supports development planning.
- Appraisals of Land: exploring appraisal methods and their importance in transactions, leasing, and asset management.
- Rent Reviews: reviewing fair market rent principles, negotiation strategies, and the role of rent reviews in maximizing revenues.
