Tools for Prosperity: Practical Tools, Stronger Nations

This workshop unites experts and community leaders to explore practical tools that enhance First Nations’ land and economic development. Participants will gain a clear understanding of key instruments and processes that support informed decisions, sustainable growth, and fiscal independence.

Registration is now open for the Tools for Prosperity Workshop, taking place November 18–20, 2025, hosted in Chiyaqtel (Tzeachten) in Chilliwack, BC This three-day training will bring together experts and community leaders to explore practical tools that strengthen First Nations’ land and economic development capacity, helping participants build knowledge to support informed decision-making, sustainable growth, and fiscal independence.

Topics will include:

• Land Assessments: how land values are determined and how assessments impact land management and financial planning.
• Legal Land Surveys: understanding survey processes, boundaries, and how accurate land data supports development planning.
• Appraisals of Land: exploring appraisal methods and their importance in transactions, leasing, and asset management.
• Rent Reviews: reviewing fair market rent principles, negotiation strategies, and the role of rent reviews in maximizing revenues.
