Sacred Waters, Living Lands: Indigenous Pathways for Marine and Land Use Planning
We’re excited to invite you to the Sacred Waters, Living Lands: Indigenous Pathways for Marine and Land Use Planning, hosted at the Musqueam First Nation Cultural Centre (4000 Musqueam Ave, Vancouver, BC V6N 3S2), taking place December 3–5, 2025, from 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM each day.
The session is open to ALL First Nations under any land regime including ISC, RLEMP, land code, and self-government, and staff or community members working in Lands related positions – Lands, Education, Natural Resources, Planning, Economic Development, Environmental Management, Forestry, Public Works and Waste Management, and more!!
Registration is FREE for BCALMA members, Elders, Community Members and students.
Session Summary
This three-day workshop provides Land Managers, leadership, and staff with practical knowledge in Comprehensive Community Planning, Land Use Planning, and Marine Spatial Planning. Participants will gain tools and strategies to guide planning processes grounded in Indigenous laws, values, and community priorities. Through interactive sessions and guest presentations, attendees will strengthen their understanding of community engagement methods, and access to spatial data and funding opportunities.
