Dear Members,

We are pleased to share that the 2026–2027 Specialized Training Schedule is now available.

This year’s schedule includes a wide range of in-person and virtual training opportunities designed to support capacity development in First Nation lands management. Topics span key areas such as land use planning, best practices in environmental management, GIS, surveys, project management, and several *NEW* offerings, including land management court cases and individual land holdings.

In-person training sessions will be delivered across Canada in various locations and will generally run for 2.5 days unless otherwise noted. Virtual sessions will take place monthly (with some exceptions). Registration timelines are as follows:

  • In-person training: Registration opens 8 weeks prior to the start date
  • Virtual training: Registration opens 4 weeks prior to the session date

Please note that all training is subject to change and adheres to NALMA’s Education Policy which can be found here: https://nalma.ca/units/

For the most up-to-date information and to register, we encourage you to visit the NALMA website. A French version of the training schedule will be shared with members once it becomes available.

If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to reach out.
