Over the last few years, Vancouver Foundation has been on a journey to re-imagine how they design and administer grant programs, as they seek to shift and share power, centering justice and equity to ensure all grants are accessible and aligned with organizational values.
As Vancouver Foundation continues to adapt and innovate in 2024, grantseekers can expect to see changes to their grant programs. Participatory Action Research grants are usually launched in the first quarter of the new year, however, the Foundation has recently announced a pause on offering PAR grants in 2024.
Please note: This pause will not impact any existing PAR grants that have already been awarded. Current grantees will receive further information via Vancouver Foundation’s online management system from one of their Grant Managers.
Along with the external changes visible to grantseekers, the Grants and Community Initiatives department will also have some internal shifts to ensure the structure and capacity of the department is well-positioned to serve and respond to community in intentional and effective ways. Because of this internal restructuring, you may see a change with existing contacts you have at Vancouver Foundation.
Until then, any questions regarding this announcement can be addressed to: grants.admin@vancouverfoundation.ca. You can also subscribe to newsletters from Vancouver Foundation to remain informed about the 2024 grant opportunities.
