SUMMARY:Leases and Permits on Reserve Lands workshop
DESCRIPTION:Hello BCALM Members\, \nBC Aboriginal Land Managers Association (BCALM) will be hosting a Leases and Permits on Reserve Lands workshop March 25-27\, 2025 at the Delta Hotels Grand Okanagan Resort (1310 Water Street\, Kelowna\, BC V1Y 9P3) . Travel day to the workshop will be March 24\, 2025\, and travel home day will be March 28\, 2025. \nLeases and Permits on Reserve Lands Workshop Description \nLeases and Permits on reserve lands is a 3-day workshop providing an overview of creating and managing commercial leasing and permits on reserve lands. Participants will review the designation process\, recognize the benefits of a land use plan\, examine various sections of lease and permit documents\, and explore best practices. The 3rd day will be spent determining the most efficient and effective method of creating land management files for the various transactions on reserve lands. \nWhen: March 25-27\, 2025 \nLocation: Delta Hotels Grand Okanagan Resort (1310 Water Street\, Kelowna\, BC V1Y 9P3) \nWorkshop Participants: Only 20 Participants will be accepted for this workshop \nWhat is covered by BCALM \n\nBreakfast\, lunch and snacks will be provided March 25-27\, 2025\nBCALM will book hotel rooms for participants\nParticipants will organize their own transportation and will be eligible to apply for reimbursement for travel costs for mileage\, flights\, commercial transportation\, and meals that are not provided by BCALM during the workshop. Download the reimbursement form to claim expenses (receipts are required for reimbursements of commercial transportation\,  flights\, accommodations\, and parking).
